Loose Tire!!!

I hate taking my car to be repaired. It’s a total pain in the you-know-where.  I recently got a flat tire. When I took it to the shop to be fixed, it was beyond repair. They needed to order one as well as order all new pressure sensors because they were starting to break and fall apart. The sensor was the likely cause of this flat tire. So this meant a second trip to the repair shop. I ended up having to leave the car for several hours.

My husband picked it up and drove it for a few days. When I got in, I immediately noticed something making noise. Wonderful. Another car issue! I hated to being it back in, but finally relented. This time I went to a different shop, one my husband uses for all the heavy work equipment. After a few minutes of test driving and listening to the house, they decided to take the whole wheel off. Turns out, the wheel was loose!! Good grief! I’d been driving for 2 days at high speeds with a loose wheel! I am so thankful these incredible mechanics realized the problem and corrected it. They thoroughly checked the remaining 3 wheels to find that though the lug nuts were tight, they were not tight enough. Ugh. There’s always something with vehicles!

As I left the repair shop, I said a prayer out loud thanking God nothing bad had happened. I could have gotten into an accident, destroyed the front end of my car or even killed my family if the entire wheel had fallen off. Thank you God for competent mechanics and for encouraging me to get the noise checked out, even though I really didn’t feel like dealing with it today. Amen!
